Jackie was appointed as the Founding Director of RTI International’s University Collaboration Office after a highly competitive board-led process. Her tenure was marked by enthusiasm, energy, and innovative approaches to university collaborations. Most significantly, she achieved outstanding results: collaborative awards tripled under her leadership, and enduring connections were forged between scientists from RTI and our university partners.

Dr. Olich was a great partner of mine when I was Vice Chancellor for Research at NC State. Through her University Collaboration leadership at RTI, she helped me develop a $2.5M collaborative seed grant program (the Game-changing  Research Incentive Program or GRIP), which brought together NC State and RTI researchers on a number of preliminary interdisciplinary research proposals.   Several of these led to large extramurally funded grants from National agencies such as NSF.

I am delighted to see the launch of Dr. Jackie Olich’s new venture. I had the pleasure of working with Jackie when we were colleagues at RTI International where she was one of our most respected and innovative executives. She was always a superb RTI representative across a wide range of events in Washington, DC. Jackie was later a Principal at policy forums and events at The National Press Club and Duke University. I have always had great respect and admiration for her dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion and for her leadership in pursuing our corporate mission.
